Turn the Campus Teal 2022

Turn the Campus Teal (TTCT) is an annual campaign that is sponsored by the office of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance.  This initiative takes place in April as part of Sexual Assault Awarness Month.  TTCT is a way to connect the university community, including survivors, advocates, students, organizations, faculty and staff in the common purpose of raising awareness and support around dating violence.  Students are encourage to wear teal and post on social media in support (#RUTTCT22).

  • Event – Denim Day: VPVA Programming Board Presents  Denim Day Clothesline on April 27 at Vorhees Mall
    • Denim Day Clothesline Project: VPVA will be accepting donations of any items of denim clothing.  Denim can be plain, or you can decorate the donated item with a message of encouragement for survivors.  Donations will be accepted through April 25th and can be dropped off curbside at the VPVA office located at 3 Bartlett Street, New Brunswick, NJ.

Denim Day

  • Visit –  Survivor’s Bench at Rutgers Garden: In honor of VPVA’s 30th anniversary, the department dedicated a bench to survivors, which is located in the Rutgers Gardens.  Survivors who are in search of a quiet, picturesque place to reflect and heal can seek solace in nature at the Rutgers Garden.  A map that details where the bench is location is attached.
