Our Mission

The Rutgers Graduate Student Association (GSA) proudly serves as the official graduate student government for the Rutgers New Brunswick/Piscataway campus. Our mission is to champion the interests of graduate students, strengthen connections between students and the University, and create opportunities for social, cultural, and academic growth.

We advocate for graduate student concerns within the larger Rutgers community, host engaging social and professional events tailored to graduate audiences, and provide vital financial support to Graduate Student Organizations (GSOs) across campus.

The GSA works to ensure that every graduate student at Rutgers feels supported, connected, and empowered to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Financial support for the GSA comes from graduate student fees.
