The School of Graduate Studies is now accepting applications from SGS graduate students to join the 2023 SGS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Graduate Student Advisory Committee!
The SGS DEI Graduate Student Advisory Committee is an excellent opportunity for students to:
- Connect with campus partners and other graduate students across disciplinary areas,
- Build facilitation and leadership capacity,
- And shape the implementation of the SGS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategic Plan.
New committee members will join members from the 2022 cohort in advising on the implementation of the strategic plan and developing projects and recommendations that contribute to an equitable, affirming, and inclusive graduate education experience.
Committee service is expected to last during the Spring and Fall 2023 semesters, with appointments beginning January 2023. Committee members will be compensated for their time, and we are looking to add 10-15 new students from across disciplinary areas to the committee.
Applicants will be asked to include a CV, brief bio, and personal statement as part of the application process.
At this time, only students enrolled in SGS graduate programs are eligible to apply.
