Zarak is a second-year graduate student in the Public Informatics department. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Informatics with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence, building upon his academic journey at Rutgers that began in 2017. Starting as an undergraduate in Information Technology & Informatics and Computer Science, Zarak gained over three years of professional experience driving end-to-end solutions in data science, full-stack application development, and leading cross-functional technical teams to deliver scalable, high-impact projects, before returning as a graduate student.
This unique trajectory has provided him with deep insight into the needs, challenges, and opportunities that shape the Rutgers experience.

Currently, he serves as a Generative AI Graduate Fellow at the New Jersey State Office of Innovation. Beyond his academic and leadership roles, Zarak is an avid cricket enthusiast, actively participating in domestic leagues across New Jersey, and he has a passion for exploring new destinations and immersing himself in different cultural experiences.

Shree is currently in the second year of her graduate program in City and Regional Planning. With a background in architecture, she is deeply passionate about resilient cities and sustainable practices. She is proficient in drafting software, 3D modeling & rendering applications, and geospatial analysis. Through her academic and professional journey, she has developed strategic leadership and public engagement experience that strengthens her commitment to community involvement and effective professional communication. Hailing from India, she embodies a rich blend of cultures, traditions, and perspectives that meaningfully shape and enrich her work. Beyond planning and design, art has always been her chosen medium of self-expression. She strives to merge her passion and profession in a way that inspires others and leaves a lasting impact.

She lives and breathes the Scarlet spirit with pride, and aspires to leave a lasting legacy at Rutgers by contributing to its tradition of student leadership and advocacy.

Hi! I’m Gabi. I am in my second year of the full-time Master of Social Work program here at Rutgers, specializing in Clinical Social Work and working on my Promoting Child and Adolescent Well-Being certificate. This academic year, I am working as a school social work intern. My first year practicum included gaining experience in case management for youth. I am due to graduate in May 2026. I received my bachelor’s in psychology from Rutgers as well in May 2024. I want to go on to become a LSW and eventually a LCSW and work with mental health challenges.

I am a second-year graduate student pursuing a Master of Health Administration (MHA) at Rutgers University. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Policy and a minor in Health Administration from Rider University. As the Co-Recruitment Chair for the Graduate Society of Healthcare Leaders and an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives of New Jersey (ACHE-NJ), I demonstrate a strong commitment to professional growth and healthcare leadership.
My career goal is to become a Hospital Administrator specializing in risk management. I am especially passionate about advancing health equity, enhancing patient experiences, and optimizing healthcare delivery through innovation, strategic planning, and community engagement. In my free time, I enjoy watching horror movies, playing video games, and hiking.

Currently a communications intern at Siemens and pursuing a Master of Communication and Media (MCM) at Rutgers University, Truc is passionate about creating designated strategies that drive meaningful impact.

Truc is a corporate communications professional with 3 years of experience in stakeholder management, sustainability and social impact initiatives, press release cycles, and corporate storytelling. Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and working with external partners, Truc also supports policy advocacy efforts. She has worked with global F&B companies across both FMCG and luxury sectors, earning recognition through corporate awards.

I am Mohammed Faisal Khan, a first-year Master’s student in Computer Science from Hyderabad, India – home of the world-famous Hyderabadi Biryani (which I love, though I still can’t cook it!). I’m passionate about coding, problem-solving, and turning ideas into impactful digital solutions through websites, mobile apps, and creative tech projects. Outside of academics, you’ll probably find me playing cricket or badminton, solving puzzles, watching fascinating documentaries, or getting lost in immersive games like GTA V and Assassin’s Creed.

As VP of Marketing, Orientations, and Communications, I am here to bring energy and creativity to connecting graduate students with GSA events, resources, and most importantly each other. My mission is to help every grad student feel they belong to a vibrant, welcoming community. And I’m excited to sharpen my skills in marketing, design, and outreach while building friendships, networks, and memories that will last well beyond Rutgers.

Milca is a passionate and dedicated graduate student at Edward J. Bloustein, where she is majoring in Public Policy. With a heartfelt commitment to creating inclusive and empowering experiences, she truly seeks to uplift her fellow students. Her journey in student leadership reflects her devotion, having served as Vice President of the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) and as Secretary of the Black Student Union at UCNJ. Milca’s professional experiences in the nonprofit and government sectors highlight her deep commitment to equity, advocacy, and community engagement. In her role as Vice President of Events and Programs for the Graduate Student Association (GSA), she strives to design events that not only meet the diverse needs of the graduate student body but also foster a sense of belonging and support. Milca’s long-term aspiration is to influence public policy in a way that truly advances the interests and well-being of historically marginalized communities, showing her compassion and dedication to making a meaningful difference in the world.

David is a second-year Ph.D. student in Biochemistry. Building on work done as an undergraduate at Rutgers, he employs biophysical techniques to study the structure, function, and mechanisms of inhibition of HIV-1 polyproteins in relation to promoting HIV-1 specific cell death. He aims to serve the graduate student population by fostering community and facilitating a meaningful graduate experience. Outside of work he enjoys going to the gym, movies, and videogames!

Sumit is an adept Project Manager with a master’s in industrial & systems engineering from Rutgers University, focusing on Supply Chain Engineering and Data Analytics. He holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. He combines his robust technical skills with strong leadership in project oversight, ensuring meticulous management and operational excellence. Sumit’s professional journey excelled in streamlining operations and implementing cost-saving measures through just-in-time material delivery and automation, achieving significant reductions in manpower and increasing process efficiency. His expertise extends to leveraging Data analytics and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production systems. Outside of work, he loves to play Badminton and is a travel enthusiast.

Ahmad Salman Sirajee

 

Ahmad Salman Sirajee is a Ph.D. candidate in the Molecular Biosciences program at Rutgers University. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in microbiology from the University of Dhaka. Salman is passionate about developing computational tools to solve biological problems, particularly in detecting diseases and finding suitable therapeutic approaches. He enjoys watching football (soccer) matches, playing cricket, table tennis, cooking, and traveling.

 

 

 

Chidera Ntiwunka-Ifeanyi

Chidera Ntiwunka-Ifeanyi is an international student from Nigeria and a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University. Her research explores acupuncture’s mechanotransduction and anti-inflammatory mechanisms in spinal cord injury using biomaterials-based in vitro models. Alongside her academic work, she serves as a graduate student senator and a graduate student representative on the Rutgers Board of Governors, where she is committed to amplifying graduate student voices and fostering a more inclusive university community.
