SAGE Working Groups

The SAGE Coalition is a joint national organization made up of representatives of graduate student governments from large public R1 universities, including Rutgers. Each year the coalition organizes working groups charged with tracking legislation that affects graduate students and writing advocacy white papers on major topics, to be presented to members of congress.

Any graduate student currently enrolled at a SAGE member institution may join a working group, regardless of their affiliation with the institutions graduate student government. SAGE encourages all students at member institutions to get involved if they are passionate about a working group topic.

In 2019-2020, the working group topics are

  • Student Finance
  • Sexual Misconduct
  • Mental Health
  • Research Funding
  • Immigration
