DESCRIPTION:Join Eagleton for a Hispanic Heritage Month conversation with Veronica Duron\, Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Cory Booker\, on October 13th at 1 pm EST via Zoom. \nBefore joining Senator Booker’s team\, Duron was a member of the policy staff for Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer. “Veronica is smart and passionate about her work\,” Senator Schumer (D-NY) said in a statement\, “and as one of only a handful of Latinas to ever become a Senate Chief of Staff\, she continues inspiring others to follow in her footsteps and helping us bring more diversity to the U.S. Senate.” \nKelly Dittmar\, Associate Professor of Political Science at Rutgers University-Camden and Scholar at the Institute’s Center for American Women and Politics\, will moderate the virtual conversation with Duron\, exploring the importance of diversity in the supporting staff of Congress. \nThis is presented as part of the Albert W.
