SUMMARY:Sourlands Hike with the GSA
DESCRIPTION:Join the GSA Recreation Committee for a beginner friendly hike in the Sourlands Mountain Preserve! This is a great opportunity to go on a low-stress guided hike and gain some experience hiking late in the season. The hike will be around 4.5 miles long and should take between 2-3 hours to complete. \nYou will be responsible for your own transportation. For those who RSVP early we will create a carpooling spreadsheet to find and offer rides. Please allow 30+ minutes for driving to the trailhead! \nSnacks will be provided\, please bring a water bottle! \nFor questions email eja78@rutgers.edu \nSaturday\, November 19th at 10am  \nDeparture time 10:15 at the latest  \nMeeting spot: Look for us near the map in the Sourland Mountain parking lot – 415 E Mountain Rd\, Hillsborough Township\, NJ 08844  \n  \nAdditional details: \nGear: The terrain can be rocky and there could be mud so hiking boots are recommended\, otherwise you can wear sneakers but be prepared for them to get dirty! It will also be cold in mid-November\, check the weather and wear layers! Synthetic fabrics are designed to keep you warm even if you sweat so opt for work-out gear if you have it and be prepared to carry layers as you warm up. \nFood: Please bring a water bottle! We will provide snacks but if you have dietary restrictions it is safer to  bring your own. (*** also If there is interest we can go get lunch afterwards and/or go to a local brewery which would not be sponsored by the GSA).
