VOICES – An Interdisciplinary Conference (11/22 – 11/23)

The Italian Graduate Society presents “Voices” a two-day conference that will take place on Nov. 22-23 from 9 am at Trayes Hall, Douglass Student Center. Twenty panelists from institutions such as Rutgers, Columbia, UPenn, NYU, Harvard, and others will present fascinating papers dealing with the voice. They will talk about cinema, medieval, modern, and contemporary literature, music and theater, philosophy and literary theory, and so on. Keynote speakers are Professor Jenny McPhee (NYU) and Diana Garvin (University of Oregon). The event is co-sponsored by the School of Graduate Studies, Program in Medieval Studies, Program in Comparative Literature, Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Department of Italian.
