Graduate Student Organizations

There are over seventy five Graduate Student Organizations (GSO) that are under the umbrella of the GSA. All these GSO's are student-run, have representatives at the GSA and usually receive funding via the GSA. These organizations comprise interest-groups spanning an array of cultural, athletic, academic and linguistic areas. Some are "departmental" groups and are designed for students enrolled in a particular graduate program, and may therefore restrict membership. Most other groups have open membership. However, all events that are funded in whole or in part by the GSA are open to all graduate students, not just members.

All graduate students are a part of the GSA by default and can join any GSO of their interest by contacting the GSO members. An (incomplete) list of Graduate Student Organizations can be found here: GSA website.
