The RUconnection Card is the official photo identification card issued to faculty, staff, students and guests on all Rutgers University campuses. Based upon your affiliation with the University it grants you privileges at any of the Rutgers University libraries, access to recreation centers and computer lab facilities, entry to football games and other events, access to purchased meal plans and debit account options, access to assigned housing and other buildings, identification for transactions with the university cashier and registrar, attendance verification for classes and exams.

To obtain or replace your card, you must present a valid form of photo identification, such as a driver's license or a passport, at any office specified below. Cards are issued beginning one week prior to the start of the Fall semester, or the first business day after January 1st for the Spring semester. There is no charge and no appointment necessary to issue a new ID or to replace an expired ID. However if an ID card is stolen or lost, and not returned to the office, there is a $15 replacement fee.
