b) The Graduate Student Blog

The Graduate Student Blog can be found here: http://rugradstudentblog.net/

The GSA wishes to highlight the Graduate Student blog. We have one of our executive committee members as a contributor and would also like to encourage graduate students to contribute to the effort by the Graduate School-New Brunswick (GSNB).

The Graduate student blog aims to serve as a resource for fostering a sense of community among the many graduate programs and schools on the Rutgers New Brunswick/Piscataway campuses, as well as to give prospective students, and the broader community, a sense of graduate school life at Rutgers. As the blog gradually adds to the number of regular bloggers, it will represent the diversity – in areas of study, student backgrounds, perspectives, interests, etc. – of graduate students at Rutgers.

Most importantly, head over, read, comment and follow the blog

To contribute, you can contact cfarber@rci.rutgers.edu for details.

2) Free Yoga!

Take a break from your work. Relax, gain strength and flexibility by attending the GSA’s yoga class. All levels are welcome. This vinyasa-style yoga class will take you through a sequence of postures by combining breath and movement. Enjoy a basic yoga workout that will increase your strength, lengthen your muscles, and help you focus. No prior yoga experience required. Come dressed in comfortable clothing ready to sweat, stretch and relax.

Classes will be held weekly on Mondays from 7:30 p – 8:45 p throughout the semester at the Graduate Student Lounge. Drop-ins are welcome… it is NOT necessary to sign up in advance.

Everyone is welcome! And the sessions are FREE, courtesy of the GSA and the TA/GA Steering Committee of the AAUP.  We can provide you with a mat and block to use if you do not have one. And graduate students are welcome to bring guests with them!
